I recently got approved for a health insurance policy that I can afford. It has been a long, tiring, frustrating, quest to find coverage after I lost my job that came with employer sponsored health insurance. When an insurance company calls you on the phone, it is rarely because they have wonderful news for you. After fighting so hard to find affordable health insurance, we ended up canceling it. This may sound crazy, but I can explain. The short answer is that the insurance policy wasn’t anywhere near as “affordable” as it first appeared to be.
