Catholic Bishops Ask Catholics to Fight Birth Control Insurance Law

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has distributed a letter to 108 parishes. The letter instructs Catholics how to file a written objection to an insurance law that requires health insurance companies to include birth control as preventative care. However, polls show that most Catholics are using birth control, despite the teachings of the Catholic Church. Conservatives Opposed To Birth Control Coverage Speak

Recently, a health care reform law required all insurance companies to cover the cost of birth control without charging a copay, deductible, or other fees. There are some conservatives who are strongly opposed to this idea. However, polls show that most people are in favor of this law.
